Our pure new wool blankets are woven from 100% New Zealand wool in our own mill in Ukraine. Pure new wool means the wool has been shorn from living sheep and has never been used in a product before: no recycled fibres.
Warm, dense and hard-wearing
New Zealand wool has a springy, slightly coarser fibre. Woven densely, it makes a blanket that holds warmth well, keeps its shape and stands up to years of everyday use. On bare skin it can feel a little prickly; over a jumper or on the bed it is simply warm.
Sizes and weights
The blankets come in 140 × 200 cm (including fringes) and 130 × 170 cm and weigh between 730 and 890 grams. Some are double-sided, with a different colour on each side.
Care
Wool needs washing far less often than you might think. Air the blanket for a few hours in the shade now and then and brush it; if it needs cleaning, have it dry-cleaned. Our guide How to wash a wool blanket explains the details.
