Our cashmere blankets are woven from 90% merino wool and 10% cashmere. The merino gives warmth and body; the cashmere makes the surface noticeably softer to the touch. Every throw measures 140 × 200 cm, including a 10 cm fringe, and weighs about 655 g — large enough to wrap up on the sofa or lay across a double bed.

Why a cashmere and merino blend

Pure cashmere is very soft but delicate and expensive. Blended with fine merino, it keeps much of that softness while the merino adds structure, warmth and resilience for everyday use. If you are deciding between fibres, our guide cashmere, merino or pure new wool? compares them side by side.

Patterns and colours

  • Herringbone — a classic weave in cream, grey, dark grey, beige, blue, brown, olive green and pink, each with white.
  • Tartan — grey-based checks with dark blue, light blue or white.
  • Stripes — cream with brown.

Size: will 140 × 200 cm be enough?

140 × 200 cm covers one adult from shoulders to feet on the sofa, or sits as a runner across the end of a double or king-size bed.

Caring for a cashmere blend throw

Wool needs less washing than you might think. Air the blanket for a few hours, out of direct sunlight and rain, to refresh it. When it needs a proper clean, have it dry cleaned. More tips in how to clean a wool throw.

A gift that gets used

A cashmere and merino throw is a present people reach for every evening from autumn to spring — for parents, a new home or someone who always feels the cold. Each blanket is made in Ukraine.

Questions

Is this a 100% cashmere blanket?

No. It is a blend: 90% merino wool and 10% cashmere. The exact composition is on every product page.

Is it itchy?

Merino and cashmere are fine fibres, so most people find them soft rather than prickly. Why some wool prickles is explained in cashmere, merino or pure new wool?

Can I machine wash it?

We recommend airing and dry cleaning rather than machine washing.
